Never Underestimate The Power of 'One'

Purple Ladybug (that's me) believes in the strong power of 'ONE'...one person, one smile, one hug or ? All it takes is 'ONE' thing to happen during your day to change the way you feel, it may be amazing or even heartbreaking. We face many 'ONE's each and every day, so join me as I take my future 'ONE' day at a time and write about my journey as a cancer conquerer and the 'ONE's in my daily life.

'one' back to work

Yep...the old man's back to work, wahhhhhh ;-).  In some ways it means me too, again, wahhhhh.  The household duties are all mine again, woohoo.  It was so nice having someone to do them with.  Someone there to do the yak yak with as you cook or sweep.
Perhaps I shall pull out my hippopotamus to give me a hand but she doesn't talk back.  Although that may be a good thing sometimes.

I tried to get some brick work done on my garden pathway today but the weather is not cooperating.  I can take rain but getting soaked all the way through is not a good thing.  Especially on Ray's first day back, he would not be impressed if I got sick by working in the rain sopping wet.  wahhhh.  Hey a lot of princess whining going on here. ;-)

Otherwise today will be a quiet day and I will work on some inside projects and housework.  No pills to take so that's a great thing but I must remember to do my exercises to continue to keep my strength up.

No big revelations today....shhhhh it's very quiet.  Well maybe not so quiet, I can hear traffic, power washers and our dryer, bang, bang, bang.  You know life is not exciting when I'm writing about the noise from the dryer...LOL.  At not exciting life is ok! We will see what the rest of the day brings.

  1. Hmm..I've got computer humming, the sound of the neighbours sliding patio door opening so they can go out and smoke and the furnace just kicked in. There was a noisy snowplow earlier but in general very quiet out here. We had about 6 inches of snow last night and are supposed to get another 2 to 4 tonight. Gray has been outside shoveling and is not impressed. The post office on our street just moved around the corner this week so it looks like the town is not plowing our sidewalks anymore. I'm just glad he got me home from the hospital yesterday before the snow got too bad. I guess it will be a little lonely for you for awhile. It's nice to have someone around to talk too. It's also nice to have some time to yourself so I'm sure you will find some use for that. Here's to leaving all the little pills in their containers for the day. That sounds like a good thing. I hope the weather improves so you can play in the dirt. I've got at least two to three months before I'll be getting any dirt play in.

    Love Brenda

It may be when we no longer know what to do, we have come to our real work, and that when we no longer know which way to go, we have begun our real journey.
