Never Underestimate The Power of 'One'

Purple Ladybug (that's me) believes in the strong power of 'ONE'...one person, one smile, one hug or ? All it takes is 'ONE' thing to happen during your day to change the way you feel, it may be amazing or even heartbreaking. We face many 'ONE's each and every day, so join me as I take my future 'ONE' day at a time and write about my journey as a cancer conquerer and the 'ONE's in my daily life.

Day 374 again - not 'one' but two stiffies

what?  hey that's not what I was think'n, get your mind of the gutter will ya?  more details on this one later.

Well I guess I had to write another blog to make up for the venting I did this am.  You see the thing about blogging is that you need to be true, honest and up front.  Otherwise wouldn't you find it boring?  If the only thing I wrote about was all fluff'n stuff would you keep reading?

One of the many things...
I have learned from my daughters is their ability to stay true to who they are.  They are comfortable and confident in their choices in life and stand behind them daily no matter what crappy comments people throw at them.  Their fan clubs grow each day not because of their ability to blend in but their ability to clearly communicate their dedication to their family and honesty about the trials and tribulations in life.

That is one of the things I try to do with my blog.  I try to show you who I am, what makes me happy, what irritates me, and what makes me sad.  It's not always pretty but I shall no longer hide my beliefs, my dreams, my hurts and my pain.  I will be honest about the good and the bad.  Perhaps I may not always be in your fan club, perhaps never, but I hope to show you that I am human.  That I make mistakes, that in growing and learning you need to make them and not be afraid to stand up for who you are.

The 'mama'
So what about the 'stiffie' comment.  Well as you know I had my chemo treatment today and for last few sessions my legs have been like rubber for the first 24 hours. Nothing seems to be consistent these days.  Not for very long that is.  I got up today and found that I had '2' peg legs!  I should have had Halcie here to play 'I am a pirate' with.  It was hilarious! At least I'm learning to adapt.  LOL

I end this edition with thanks.  Thanks for reading, thanks for your comments and thanks to those who challenge my thoughts and opinions.  It's time we turn back the clock and be honest like kids, forgive like kids and play like kids do so well.  Now doesn't that sound perfect?  Being an adult...not so much fun most of the time, yes?

Have a terrific night and stay tuned!

  1. Adulthood,

“"I don't see much sense in that," said Rabbit.
"No," said Pooh humbly, "there isn't. But there was going to be when I began it. It's just that something happened to it along the way."”

It may be when we no longer know what to do, we have come to our real work, and that when we no longer know which way to go, we have begun our real journey.
