Yep the fever is still visiting. I actually got down in the 37's yesterday woohoo, mind you last night I hit the 39's again and felt yucky.
The Dr. called yesterday following up on my emergency visit. Actually it was my regular Dr.'s replacement as she took a week off to take her oldest one to kindergarten. She asked me lots of questions and then started telling me about tumour fevers. Tumour fevers happen when a tumour on your liver or kidney is doing something. I asked if I would have it all the time now and she said possibly...
Unfortunately if it's still there on Monday I may not be able to have my regular treatment. That would be poopy. It will be the first time I have missed a treatment for health reasons. It's very rare that a person can go through a complete year of treatments without missing one for a cold, flu, or low blood counts. I haven't had a cold in so long I can't remember.
Stepping up my own awareness about not touching railings, keeping my hands away from my mouth when out and washing with soap as soon as I get home has done the job. Not to mention that my family always ensures they don't come around if they have a cold, cough or have been around someone that is sick. I am very lucky. Yep I said it again!
I'm still finding it hard these days to eat and take my pills. I can take about 3 bites of food and I'm done. I was shocked the other day how far water and corn on the cob can fly when it doesn't want to stay in your tummy. 6 feet at least! Gross! Good thing Dudley wasn't sitting there. Sorry, too much information? My rug is still drying outside in the sterilizing sunshine.
Well the confirmations are coming in about giving up Lavenderville. Insurance cancelled, lease not renewed, now I'm waiting for the website to disappear. Sadness. Not sure when we will start pulling things up, probably in October.
So as you can see, life is quiet. Everyday we wait in anticipation of my fever rising to the point of a visit to the hospital. I've been bad and I've waiting for awhile to take it again because it seems to peak and then it starts going down right after it peaks at 39.X. Keep cool and enjoy this late summer we are having.
