Never Underestimate The Power of 'One'

Purple Ladybug (that's me) believes in the strong power of 'ONE'...one person, one smile, one hug or ? All it takes is 'ONE' thing to happen during your day to change the way you feel, it may be amazing or even heartbreaking. We face many 'ONE's each and every day, so join me as I take my future 'ONE' day at a time and write about my journey as a cancer conquerer and the 'ONE's in my daily life.

Which 'one' do you pay attention too?

Cluttered counter or what? Yogurt cook'n
A couple of fun days.  New things to do and new energy to test out.  I began working on another step stool for my Dudley yesterday.  My hubby has decided he has room for me in his woodworking shop...
Otherwise I would be working outside in my outdoor tent.  Don't get me wrong, I prefer to work outside but in minus 5 weather I'm a little wimpy.  It felt great to start planning, cutting and assembling the stool even with my less than 100 percent hands.

I was busy over the last couple days learning to make crystallized ginger.  Here is it drying on my counter, so yummy.  I also made 17 jars of yogurt, that should last me the week.  Next on my list is some homemade beans but I'm still searching for the recipe I made awhile ago...its around here somewhere! LOL

Ginger's drying
Everyday seems different, new aches and pains.  With each new ache or pain you wonder where it's coming from and why it's there.  Is it there because you're getting older, because you did too much yesterday,  or is it something you need to tell your doctor the next time you see her or perhaps you just need to 'suck it up buttercup'.  I can feel that I am loosing a lot of muscle strength for sure but there are days when it seems like every bone or muscle in my body hurts when I move.  Similar to the flu but the aches are only there when you move thank goodness!

Where's that recipe?
I've been doing some more reading and research on how the body heals itself.  It's quite interesting that your body will only heals itself when it rests and when it has lots of oxygen.  So I will begin to concentrate on breathing more deeply during the day and not only when I am doing my 'chi' exercises. Supplying your body with the needed oxygen allows the good cells to reproduce whereas cancer cells can reproduce without any oxygen.  Crazy eh? So breath people breath! =0)

  1. I feel "wimpy" as you talk about your accomplishments during the week. I have "flu like" symptoms in the last few days and am somewhat useless. How do you do it? You continue to inspire in 2011. Kick A--, Little Sister!

It may be when we no longer know what to do, we have come to our real work, and that when we no longer know which way to go, we have begun our real journey.
